Sandpi pauses idle Environments automatically and resumes them when needed. Runtime has no monthly or weekly limit. Your own machines do not count toward the hosted Environment limit. Model usage is billed separately by your agent provider using your own login or credentials.

How does Platform pricing work?
Platform bills actual Sandbox runtime by the second. The fixed 2 vCPU / 4 GiB rate is equivalent to $0.10 per hour; this is a price reference, not whole-hour billing. Paused time is free. Initialization, file or browser access, scheduled work, and other operations can also activate the Sandbox. All Sessions share its runtime charge. Your provider or gateway bills model usage directly. No personal Sandpi subscription is required.
Can Platform use my own provider URL or API key?
Yes. Configure your model API key and base URL on the Session. The endpoint must support the harness's native API: Responses for Codex, Messages for Claude Code, or the supported native adapter for Pi, Kimi Code, or ZCode. Sandpi does not supply a shared model key or translate model protocols.
Can I evaluate Platform without a paid subscription?
No personal subscription is required. Eligible new verified accounts can claim $5 in Promotion Credits after binding a card through Stripe without a payment. Credits expire 30 days after registration and pay for Sandbox runtime, not model usage. Your model provider or gateway bills your own API key separately. How do I limit spending for an isolated workload?
Use a dedicated Team and set its monthly Sandbox budget in the console. The budget covers Environment runtime across all Projects in that Team. Set a Session execution budget to limit cumulative Harness execution across its Runs; this allowance does not add another Sandbox charge. Sandpi stops active Runs and requests a memory-preserving pause when runtime credit or the Team Sandbox budget is exhausted. Metering and stopping are asynchronous, so the budget is not an exact-dollar cap. Set a separate spending limit on your model API key at your provider or gateway; Sandpi runtime budgets do not limit BYOK model charges.
Who pays for models in personal Sandpi?
The personal plans pay for hosted Environments. You sign in to your coding agent or supply its credentials; your provider bills model usage separately. Platform also uses your own model access, with Sandbox runtime billed through Sandpi instead of a personal Environment subscription.
Does a new Session need another paid Environment?
No. Sessions in one Environment keep separate conversation histories and share its Sandbox, files, tools, and browser logins. Starting a new conversation reuses those resources. Choose another cloud Environment when you need separate accounts or working state; Sessions do not add compute capacity.
How are paid personal plans billed?
Plus is $20 per month for two Environments. Pro is $50 per month for five, with additional Environments at $10 each per month. You can have up to 100 total hosted Environments on Pro. Billing is monthly.
What resources does an Environment include?
Every hosted Sandpi Environment has a fixed 2 vCPU and 4 GiB of memory. Environment size is not configurable. Sessions share those resources.
Is personal plan runtime limited?
There is no monthly or weekly runtime allowance for personal hosted plans. Sandpi automatically pauses idle Environments and resumes them when you use them again. Platform is billed separately for active Sandbox runtime.
Do my own machines count toward the Environment limit?
No. Only Sandpi-hosted Environments count toward your plan. Connected personal machines use your local workspace and OS account permissions, depend on that machine's availability, and do not gain cloud Sandbox isolation.
